Amazing dark, gothic book

Dark Angel: A Gothic Fairy Tale - T.J. Bennett

I loved this book!  It is definitely a dark gothic book.  This reminded me of the feeling you got when you read The Madman's Daughter.  I didn't think I was going to like Gerard, but I grew to love him.  Catherine kind of annoyed me, but I understood where she was coming from.  A gentlewoman of that time did not do those things. LOL  I wished the ending were a little different, but I will absolutely be looking for more works by this author.

Witches of East End (The Beauchamp Family, #1)

Witches of East End (The Beauchamp Family, #1) - Melissa de la Cruz Wow, this book was amazing. I never tired of it and there were so many interesting things tied into the story. The Salem witch trials, and even mythology. Ms. Cruz is a definite top author.
First Bite - Dani Harper I thought this was a great beginning to a hopefully great series! The story moved fluidly and the characters were great. I can't wait to see what else is in store for these characters.

The Winter People

The Winter People - Jennifer McMahon, Cassandra Campbell, Kathe Mazur OMG, no words can express how I felt about this book. I couldn't get the book out of my head. So many twists and turns throughout the book made you want to read more and more. The characters were amazing and the setting made the book what it is. I have read all of Jennifer McMahon's books and this one is definitely in my top 2.
The Drowned Forest - Kristopher Reisz This was such a strange book. It was definitely a good book, just strange. I'm not a very religious person so there were times where I was confused when there were quotes from the Bible. I do understand the importance though, of the main character being so religious. I liked the way the book was written by the main character to her best friend. It was different.
The Clockwork Scarab - Colleen Gleason Wow, this book had so many facets to it. I can't wait for the next one!
A Game of Thrones - George R.R. Martin I'll pick this one up at a later date.
The Gallery of Vanished Husbands - Natasha Solomons I couldn't get into this one.
Witchstruck - Victoria' 'Lamb Wow, this was an amazing book! I would love to read more about Meg and Alejandro!
Stonefly (the Jacob Duke series) (Volume 1) - Scott J. Holliday Wow, what a concept! Amazing!

Great

Great - Sara Benincasa Okay, don't kill me, but I've never read The Great Gatsby. I don't know how it relates to this book. I have to say that I really enjoyed it. It was easy to read and flowed nicely. The only thing that bothered me was how shallow these people were. I know it's part of the book but it still irked me. I live on Long Island and have seen the shallowness of the people that "summer" in the Hamptons. I do really like when an author drops names and brand names. It gives me a sense of familiarity. Like I said before though, I haven't read The Great Gatsby, so I don't know how it ends. I would have liked to see a little more in the ending of this book, but it was good enough. I'm not sure if a younger teen would totally "get" the story, but there is very little strong language and sexual situations. Overall, a great read!
Her Dark Curiosity - Megan Shepherd OMG, I almost think this one was better than the first one!

Wolf Dream (Wolf Spell, #2)

Wolf Dream - M.R. Polish Absolutely incredible!
Wolf Spell: Book One - M R Polish OMG, I couldn't get enough! I read this in less than 24 hours. Thank God I have Wolf Dream to keep going!
Devil in the Hole - Charles Salzberg I normally don't read this type of book, but I'm so glad I read this one! It was fantastic! Mr. Salzberg is an amazing author. It's like he has multiple personalities the way he writes as so many characters. Whether it be a teen girl, a witness, or a detective, he even has the accent down pat! Each chapter was a different character. There were even times where I was nervous, like I was in the story.
Although I've never read any book by Mr. Salzberg before reading Devil In the Hole, he is definitely on my radar now! An excellent read!
White Chalk - Pavarti K. Tyler I could not finish this book for personal reasons.
